T-24 ..... additional thoughts.
To the driver, ranger and passenger in the Gypsy vehicle who suddenly drove off-road to within a couple of feet of the sleeping Ustad on May 7th:
Other photographers at the sight got great shots from a distance of ten to fifteen yards and did not have to stress or irritate that magnificent beast in the process.
Maybe you should consider obtaining a better camera. The cost, no matter how high, cannot be compared with the life of a ranger and the freedom of a beautiful tiger!
To the Government of India and the officials overseeing the National Parks:
After reading a myriad of data and comments regarding the recent T-24 episode, I realize the laws, park rules, training procedures and limits of acceptable safari behavior in India cannot be compared to those in Africa.
Maybe Ranger Saini's death should provide the impetus to take a long, hard look at your current dysfunctional system. Review your laws, make some new ones ...... and then ENFORCE them all, vigorously.
Suggest watching a documentary entitled "Milking the rhino" which does a good job of examining the problems that arise when man encroaches on animal.
